My Hero!!

This is my daughter, Hannah. She's 9 years old and I love her!! This is her before picture. She has been growing her hair for over a year to donate to Locks of Love.

She goes to a private Christian school and before she cut her hair she spoke to the elementary school at chapel to encourage other girls to do the same. She wanted the girls to realize this was something the girls could do completely on their own... no money to raise, nothing to sell, just sacrifice.

She said Jesus sacrificed his life for us, what's a little hair?! How cool is she??!!!

I am amazed that I have been given the gift of such an amazing young woman to be in my life. She constantly finds ways to give to others through gifts and acts of service and love. You never hear a negative thing come out of her mouth. I could go on and on, but it will suffice to say that she is my hero and I hope I can continue to encourage her to be a woman of great character!

My friend, Coco, cutting Hannah's hair. Coco teaches Cosmetology at a high school. Their were about 20 girls there and they were all amazed at what Hannah did. We got to tell her story and it was very cool to see how they were so impressed with her sacrifice.

Hannah with beautiful short hair!!!

And the back...

Now go do something great for someone else!!!

Quite a kid! Her hair is really cute short. Does she like it? Is she going to start growing it again to do the same thing?

Update your blog more often!! I know you have things to say.

Hello precious Crockers! I miss ya'll greatly! Please tell Hannah that I am so proud of her! She looks beautiful with short hair, but more importantly, her actions to serve others, and share God's love are beautiful and bring glory to God! Hannah, I am blessed to know you, and am challenged by your selfless service! I love you kid! And I love the Crocker family! Hugs all around!

I wasn't sure at first which awesome thing was the best, but Hannah's Haircut finally beat out your lack of updating your blog. heehee Please give her a kiss for me and tell her that one of my very best friends (who died from breast cancer at 36) wore a wig made from "Locks for Love"! Wow! God bless her and you guys for raising her with such unselfishness.

It's quite alright, some of us don't have a job so we can spend more time idly playing on the computer. I would love to work but it won't happen for quite a while. I still think of you often and pray for you guys daily so keep on keepin on! :>)
