Update on the Pyro

Since posting about my little pyro a.k.a. Christian I have learned that playing with fire is a boy thing. Every mom I have shared my story with has been appropriately shocked, yet every man I shared this with said, "Oh yeah, well that's what boys do." I work at the YMCA in the weight room from 5am to 8am Mon.-Thurs. and this is a time when mostly men come in and work out.
It was quite interesting to hear about the things these men have caught on fire and my terribly shocking experience didn't phase them at all. So I guess as a mother of 2 boys this is one of those mysteries that I will have to learn about.

This is what I want to know:
  1. What is it about boys and fire...why do they want to burn things?
  2. How can I let my sons be the wild things that God created them to be while insuring that nothing expensive or valuable(i.e. my house and family) gets damaged in the process?
  3. What else is coming down the pike that I will look at my son and wonder what ever possessed him to do something like this?

Your thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Quickie

Dear Hubby has been out of time this week and my kiddos have had big projects so no time to blog-boo! Also, due to the crash of my hard drive I have been rebuilding my computer this week...Yuck. I tend to fall asleep when things get monotonous so staring at the computer for hours is not my fav. Tomorrow I am posting about my roll as reluctant homeschooling mom. Until then......
